There are a number of ways to experience art and culture at the Michener Art Museum – for FREE!
This intimate exhibition celebrates James A. Michener’s prolific career as a writer, public servant, art collector and philanthropist, as well as his life-long commitment to racial harmony. Michener’s Bucks County office is installed at the museum, and the exhibition includes a specially produced video, the Presidential Medal of Freedom and the original manuscript of The Novel.
This gallery showcases work of children, teens, and adults in our community that enriches the knowledge, understanding, and appreciation of creativity and the diversity of cultural heritage.
Outdoor Sculpture Gardens
Even before entering the front doors to the Museum, you have the opportunity to engage with the art and explore magnificent sculpture on the grounds in front of the building!
Visitors can enjoy lunch and reflect in the Patricia D. Pfundt Sculpture Garden, where the old stone prison wall is juxtaposed against the contemporary award-winning contemporary Edgar N. Putman Event Pavilion.
Walking a labyrinth can be a meditative experience… staying on the winding path, sometimes moving toward the center, then away from it again, eventually leading to the center.
