Bucks County artist Robert Tieman (1937-1989) was a noted abstract painter in New York City during the 1950s and ’60s, where he also taught painting at New York University and the Pratt Institute. He exhibited his large-scale abstract works around the country in San Francisco, Chicago, Houston, and Provincetown. This installation was drawn from the collection of Tieman’s family, and included many works that had never before been exhibited.

Exhibition funding provided by Pew Charitable Trusts, the Bucks County Commissioners, and the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Council on the Arts.
