A Judicial Legacy: Portraits from the Bucks County Courts Collection

The Michener Art Museum and the Mercer Museum/Bucks County Historical Society have collaborated with the Past Presidents Roundtable of the Bucks County Bar Association on an important milestone in the history of the Bucks County Court.

In celebration of the inauguration of the new Bucks County Courthouse, scheduled to open in early 2015, the Michener Art Museum will highlight the extraordinary lineage of Judges who served this county since 1791. The exhibition will feature 45 portraits by the region’s leading artists, past and present.

Artists represented in this installation of distinguished lawmakers include Rembrandt Peale, Jonathan and Thomas Trego, and John Folinsbee. Contemporary artists represented in the collection include Ted Xaras, Glenn Harrington, Selma Bortner, Stephen Early, James Himsworth and Barbara Lewis.
