Why Giving Matters

Why does the Michener Art Museum need your support?

If it were not for the support of people just like you, this museum would not exist.

In 1988, a group of committed citizens founded this institution as a testament to the rich artistic tradition of Bucks County. What began as a single-gallery arts center has been transformed into a distinguished AAM accredited art museum with more than 60,000 square feet of exhibition space that serves more than 150,000 visitors each year with outstanding exhibitions, programs, concerts, classes, performances and guided tours.

Today the museum stands as the reflection of the strong support and shared vision of this community. The Michener Art Museum was built with donations from individuals just like you.

Every day the museum faces the ongoing challenge of balancing the real costs of its work with the mission to serve the entire region. To meet this challenge, the museum must raise nearly one third of it’s annual operating expenses through gifts from individual donors just like you. Through your gift, you help make it possible for the Michener to continue to positively impact the community.

Today, you can make a difference. It is the Michener’s goal to continue to provide you with cultural experiences that excite, educate and entertain. Because you value what the museum does and enjoy the unique, welcoming environment, please consider a gift to the Michener Art Museum.
