In this three-hour class, adult students of all abilities will
incorporate texture, surface, color, and design in works of art while
exploring a variety of monoprint, gel print, and relief printmaking
techniques. They will learn to develop an original image for prints,
engage in creative exercises to build an understanding of the medium,
and integrate black and white and color into their graphic works. They
will build confidence, apply new knowledge, and explore artistic
experimentation and discovery while creating a variety of prints.
Students will also get an overview of printmaking history and
contemporary printmakers. Adults who participated in our
printmaking class last year will bring new insights and find new
challenges in this year’s printmaking program. Exhibition Focus: Dedicated, Displayed, Discovered: Celebrating the Region’s School Art Collections
