Families with children age 6 and up, and Scout groups are welcome to join Pat Achilles, an accomplished local illustrator, for a free 2-hour drawing workshop in our classrooms. Learn about Pat’s work, how stories are illustrated, and then stay to draw and create your own story. Parents are encouraged to stay and participate. Registration is limited.
Guest artist Pat Achilles has created illustrations and cartoons for books, periodicals and businesses for over 25 years and recently had cartoons published in The New Yorker. She is an adjunct professor in the illustration department at Moore College of Art & Design in Philadelphia and a founder of the Bucks County Illustrators Society. Pat’s artwork has received awards at the Philadelphia Sketch Club’s Phillustration Exhibit and she writes about her work and the field of illustration on her blog Pencilled In, found on her website, AchillesPortfolio.com.
