Drawing the Magic of Nature with Kim Kurki
Sunday, March 22, 2019
Free with pre-registration; families with children age 5 and up
Join us for our unique series of free family programs designed to delight and inspire families, children, teens, and Scouts.
As an illustrator for 40 years, Kim Kurki is inspired by the magic and beauty of nature, especially the natural treasures you can discover in your own “backyard.” Her book is National Wildlife Federation’s World of Birds, the first in a series introducing the natural world to young readers (and curious adults!). In this fun family workshop, work with Kim and Michener staff to create drawings from natural objects or imagination. Don’t miss this fantastic opportunity to be inspired by an artist and naturalist while learning new drawing skills. Be sure to bring your “sense of wonder!”
Unplugged Families @ the Michener are presented by the Leff Family Foundation.
