The Michener Art Museum is inviting all families for a day of art, exploration and eco-empowerment in conjunction with the exhibition Rising Tides: Contemporary Art and the Ecology of Water. To celebrate the 50th anniversary of Earth Day, the Michener is offering a full schedule of fun family tours and labyrinth walks, activities with local environmental groups, and a special presentation by acclaimed Philadelphia “kindie” music group, Ants on a Log, performing their environmental musical Curious. 

10 am-3 pm

Share your voice—Advocacy letter and postcard art activity with Michener education staff in the Commonwealth Gallery

Learn More—Info and educational activities from the Heritage Conservancy & Wetland Institute. (Lobby)

Community Art Project—Help create a new mural for our art ed classroom using upcycled bottle caps. (Lobby)

10-10:30 am

Kids Labyrinth Walk—Connect and move with nature during a guided walk of the Michener Community Labyrinth. Meet at the Labyrinth on the corner of Pine and Ashland.

10-10:45 am

Family Tour—Family oriented guided tours of the museum with a focus on the Rising Tides exhibition. Tour meets in the Lobby.

11 am-12 pm

Ants on a Log musical performance in the Event Pavilion.

12-12:30 pm
