Join us on a walking tour of the Phillips Mill Community, a “window into yesterday,” and the historic home of the Pennsylvania Impressionists. Learn about the historic properties in the English village, including the Inn at Phillips Mill, Morgan Colt’s studio, forge and shop, William Lathrop’s home and the Phillips Mill which will showcase its annual photography exhibition.
The Lathrops’ Sunday afternoon teas, to which local artists and neighbors were invited, were the beginnings of the Phillips Mill community association. These early “members” included the artists Rae Sloan Bredin, Fern Coppedge, John Folinsbee, Daniel Garber, Mary Elizabeth Price, Edward Redfield, and Walter Schofield. Ms. Miller, actress and singer, produced musical theater productions at the Mill, and was married to Shaun Miller, son of New Hope artist R.A.D. Miller.
