Students are required to wear long pants and close-toed shoes to this class. Students also provide their lunch.
Students with stained glass experience design and create original 2D and 3D stained glass works of art in this dynamic Michener program. Learn to create original patterns for glass images. Cut, grind, polish, taper, incorporate glass nuggets, and learn three-dimensional glass construction. Students who took Stained Glass last year or earlier this summer will engage in new learning experiences, and discover new challenges and approaches to glass in this class. Fees include all tools and materials needed for the creation of student designed stained glass works. Stained Glass: 2D and 3D Design is sponsored by the Leff Family Foundation.
Students provide their own peanut free lunch and snacks for full day programs. Families and friends are welcome to come 15 minutes before the end of camp on Friday to enjoy an exhibition of student work in the Education Gallery and classrooms.
Individualized attention, inspired and supportive instruction, small classes, meaningful gallery tours, and award-winning teachers are hallmarks of our exceptional arts programs. Through exposure to a variety of art forms and materials, all courses encourage the development of new skills and build confidence in creative expression. In addition, our summer camps provide opportunities for lively social interaction and outdoor activities. Student work is exhibited in the Education Gallery throughout the summer.
