School’s out on the traditional museum as we make way for a very special TGIF featuring local musical performances curated by Doylestown’s own Joe Montone, interactive gallery tours, snacks, drinks, and a few surprises. Bring your BFFs or your playground crushes and experience a transformed Michener Art Museum.
The evening will feature performances by Seagulls and DJ Chris B from WKDU.
Seagulls is an indie rock band that blends modern emo sounds with harmonic vocals and nostalgic textures of the past. Their 2019 LP Thrown Voice is an album about communication–interpersonally, with the environment, within one’s self–and the way that technology can facilitate or get in the way of those interactions.
Chris Burrell is a Philadelphia-based DJ, radio host, and event programmer known for digging from an extensive record collection to connect the dots across genres. Over the the past decade, Chris has manned the airwaves at Drexel’s radio station WKDU Philadelphia 91.7 FM, serving as the station’s Electronic Music Director and hosting his show Hot Mix on Tuesday nights at 10 pm. Music knows no bounds & Chris has had the pleasure of entertaining diverse crowds from Detroit, to Havana, to Philly and beyond.
