January 20, 1-3 pm
Free family program; pre-registration required
Join us for a Martin Luther King Day of Service and Art, while exploring Frank Hyder’s Janis Project exhibition and Heads that Make Us Smile, in the Museum and Education Gallery. Learn about Dr. King’s legacy while exploring Hyder’s inspiration from around the world before creating your own head, and sharing ideas on how to promote goodwill in your family, school, community, nation, or world. Participants are asked to bring new hygiene products for homeless shelters in Bucks County.
Registered participants will hear from a representative of the Bucks County Housing Group, and decorate tote bags, which will be filled with donated toiletries and delivered to the Bucks County Housing Group Community Food Bank.
Participants are asked to bring new hygiene and toiletry products, to be donated to the Bucks County Housing Group.
Participants are invited to explore the Museum galleries and Museum fun following this activity.
The MLK Jr. Day of Service and Art is sponsored by the Leff Family Foundation.
