Back by popular demand, this program begins with an introductory slide lecture and a discussion of building elements and architectural terminology using Philadelphia’s stunning historic architecture in order to develop architectural literacy, followed by a guided walk through the Cultural District and historic Doylestown. The program is presented by Ken Hinde, retired director of tours at Foundation for Architecture in Philadelphia and Fairmount Waterworks, and includes a complete overview of 275 years of architecture in the borough and an interpretation of the unique properties in the Cultural District.
