Join violinist Claudia Pellegrini and her accompanist as they take you on a musical journey around the world! Visit Germany with Mozart and Brahms, Italy with Verdi, France with Bizet…and get ready for a few surprises, like some Broadway tunes, some iconic Hollywood movie songs, and maybe even a few Disney favorites for the little ones! Dynamic, approachable and fun, Claudia’s Music Around the World program is a perfect afternoon of entertainment and learning for the entire family.
Claudia’s work has been called “mesmerizing” by the Philadelphia Inquirer. She was born and raised in Madrid, Spain where she began her violin studies at age 5. She was an Honors Royal Conservatory of Madrid graduate at age 17, a Master’s Graduate at age 23, and a published violinist-producer-songwriter-vocalist at age 26.She has worked with many renowned violinists, including Pinchas Zuckerman, performs with several Philadelphia orchestras, and received the Albert Tashjian Award for Excellence in Violin Performance in 2003, a Mention of Honor by VH1’s “Song of the Year” Competition in 2005, and was recently honored with a Diplomat Award for her work with the Dementia Society of America (2018).
Actively involved in musical theater, Claudia is an audience favorite at the Bristol Riverside Theatre. She is also a published composer of children’s musicals including Goldilocks (2015), Peter Pan (2017), Snow White (2018) and Pinocchio (2018) which have been premiered to great success at the Broadway Theatre of Pitman, NJ.
Participants are invited to explore the Museum galleries, engaging in theme-related gallery scavenger hunts, drawing activities, and Museum fun following this performance.
