Education Gallery Exhibition Highlights – some of the exhibitions since 2000 include:

Art in Bloom

In our annual spring Education Gallery exhibition, we present artwork created by hundreds of students from the Michener Art Museum children’s studio classes and workshops, and Michener sponsored art enrichment programs throughout the community.

Ongoing “Push Pin” Exhibitions

Students who enroll in an art class or summer camp at the Michener have the opportunity to exhibit the artwork they create in informal gallery shows throughout the year. Work is matted and displayed throughout the class, so that the community can share in the joy of the creative process of all Michener art class students. From drawing and painting to anime and fashion design, the gallery is always filled with something fresh and vibrant.

Gift of Giving

In November 2001 we began an annual celebration of art and giving, presenting a selection of two-and three-dimensional works created by students from area schools. At the close of the exhibition all works are gift wrapped and delivered to Trinity Episcopal Church, to be distributed to area residents who are affected by HIV/AIDS. Beginning in 2004, the generous support of FACT of Bucks County (Fighting Aids Together Continuously) and Morrie Breyer has continued to make this exhibition possible.

Programming in the Education Gallery is made possible by the lead sponsorship of Penn Community Bank. Additional sponsorship is provided by the Doris Weiss Education Gallery Endowment and FACT Bucks County, with in-kind support from Morrie Breyer & Michael Mamp.
