The Michener Art Museum offers the only art classes in Bucks County where learners of all ages experience Museum exhibitions as an ongoing part of their arts education. Discussions and experiences in the galleries inspire students to create original works of art in response to what they see.
Learning to Look and Listen
Students join an adult caregiver in this popular intergenerational program with Museum-inspired lessons and art activities that inspire verbal development, visual awareness, dynamic conversation, imagination, creativity, and self-expression.
KindergARTen Art Class
Enrich your child’s kindergarten education with a morning or afternoon art class, featuring Museum lessons and art-making experiences that are certain to educate, excite, and inspire.
Discover Art: Drawing, Painting, Sculpture, Printmaking, and Mixed Media Classes
Young artists combine skills in drawing and painting with new discoveries in a variety of arts media and arts processes. They also visit Michener galleries weekly in our Discover Art Series.

Aspiring Artists 2D and 3D Workshops: Drawing, Painting, Photography, Printmaking, and Sculpture Classes
Middle and high school students develop and expand their drawing and painting skills, find new challenges, and discover new avenues for inspiration. They visit the Michener galleries weekly to learn from artists in our exhibitions.
High School Artists: Drawing and Painting Classes
High school student artists will learn techniques, develop skills, and cultivate the creativity that is at the cornerstone of growth in the arts. This class is a perfect fit for students looking to explore the arts for pleasure as well as for students interested in building a successful college portfolio.
Daytime Art Classes
Adult students of all ages and abilities are invited to join our series of informal, inspiring, and informative hands-on art classes. Opportunities for individualized instruction, observation, practice, experimentation, and the development of a personal style are at the core of all of our adult art classes. Museum admission, gallery visits, and all art supplies are included in the program fee.
Evening Drawing Workshops
Adult students of all ages and abilities are invited to join our series of hands-on drawing workshops. Changing themes each season provide a unique focus to engage in Museum-based art education and creative exploration. As with all of the museum’s adult art classes, evening drawing workshops provide opportunities for individualized instruction, observation, practice, experimentation, and the development of a personal style. Museum admission, gallery visits, and all art supplies are included in the program fee.
Ladies Night Out
Women of all ages are welcome to attend our seasonal evening workshops, appropriate for beginners and experienced artists alike. Evenings begin with refreshments, then a discussion-based Museum tour focus on the themes and arts processes of the evening. The bulk of the evening is spent in the art studio, with demonstrations and guests artists for inspiration!
Applications available throughout the year
Scholarships are available for students for our classes and summer camps. Families of scholarship recipients also benefit by receiving a household membership.
