Commentary
Flora Barndt Baum, wife of Walter E. Baum, frequently modeled for Trego during the years that her husband studied with the artist at his North Wales studio. She can be seen here posing as the Virgin Mary, a role she assumed on several occasions. Walter and Flora Baum formed a very close relationship with Trego who seems to have delighted in the company of this young and talented couple.
