Enrich your existing summer camp with a workshop at the Michener. Summer Camp directors are invited to call and schedule an individualized program for campers of all ages at the Michener Art Museum. Campers will learn about Pennsylvania Impressionist landscape paintings, celebrate the work of woodworker George Nakashima, take a mystery prison highlights tour, explore the sculpture garden, see our special exhibitions, draw from original works of art in the Museum, and engage in age appropriate Museum exploration activities.
We offer Camp Capers during regular Museum hours, six days a week (the Museum is closed on Mondays). We will arrange a visit to suit your camp schedule. You may also choose to extend your visit and have lunch in the sculpture garden at the Museum.
The program fee of $12 per camper covers the cost of Museum admission, workshop supplies and instruction. One chaperone is admitted free of charge with every six students. Additional chaperones are welcome to join the group at an additional charge of $12 per person. Scholarship funds may be available for camps working with underserved populations.
