Award-winning instructors lead full and-half day programs for students age five through grade 12
DOYLESTOWN, PA – The James A. Michener Art Museum’s longstanding and popular summer camp program is now accepting registrations for full and half-day sessions for students ages five and up. Incorporating art instruction and appreciation as well as lively social interaction and outdoor activities, the Michener Art Museum summer camp programs draw hundreds of students each year from Bucks County and beyond. Scholarships are available to families in need.
Weekly sessions begin on June 18 and continue through August 17. Morning and afternoon sessions include instruction in a variety of media, including painting, drawing, stained glass, and sculpture as well as classes in fabric design and sewing, wire design, video making, anime, comic book creation, and more. Student artwork will be exhibited in the Education Gallery throughout the summer. Through exposure to a variety of art forms and art materials, students are encouraged to develop new skills and build confidence in creative expression. Counselor-in-training programs are offered for students in grades nine through 12. Lunchtime options are also available to create a full-day experience.
