Michener Art Museum Hosts Sixth Biennial Art of Wine Celebration

DOYLESTOWN, PA — The James A. Michener Art Museum will host its sixth Art of Wine celebration on Saturday, October 28, 2017. This signature fundraiser for the Michener brings together more than 200 of the Museum’s patrons and supporters for an evening of fine wines, extraordinary cuisine, and lively auctions. All funds raised during the event allow the Michener to continue to offer the community and Bucks County visitors outstanding exhibitions and educational programming.

The evening will begin with a special Vintners’ Reception showcasing premier French and American wineries while guests enjoy hors d’oeuvres and silent auction bidding. Afterwards, guests will be seated for a formal dinner in the award-winning Edgar N. Putman Event Pavilion. A live auction featuring art, wine, experiences, and travel packages will be presented by David Rago and Suzanne Perrault, partners and co-directors of Rago Arts and Auction Center, one of the country’s premier specialty auction houses.

Dinner will feature a four-course gourmet menu performed by Catering By Design, the Michener Art Museum’s official cuisine partner. Guests will enjoy vintages from Frank Family Vineyards, a premium winery situated along the Napa River in Calistoga, California. Doylestown   Floribunda is generously providing florals to enhance the evening’s ambiance.

This year, for the first time, people not attending the event as well as those who are attending will have the opportunity to participate as bidders in the silent auction, which will open online at noon on Friday, October 27. To participate, visit 501auctions.com/micheneraow.
