“Mother’s Day is always one of the busiest days in our galleries,” said Lisa Tremper Hanover, director and CEO of the Michener Art Museum. “This year, we wanted to offer our visitors something extra—the opportunity to enjoy a sumptuous brunch in our glass pavilion, which overlooks our outdoor sculpture gardens, before or after they stroll through our galleries.”
On view at the Michener Art Museum will be several permanent exhibitions, including the Lenfest Collection of Pennsylvania Impressionism, the Nakashima Room, and the outdoor sculpture garden, as well as three special exhibitions: Charles Sheeler: Fashion, Photography and Sculptural Form (on view through July 9), Polaris: Northern Explorations in Contemporary Art (on view through April 23), and Myths and Nature: Early Prints by Sam Matin (on view through August 27). Throughout the spring, the Michener will also present daytime and evening lectures, gallery talks and tours, concerts, films, family programs, and art classes.
The Michener Art Museum is located at 138 South Pine St., Doylestown, PA. The Museum is open Tuesday through Friday, 10:00 am – 4:30 pm; Saturday 10:00 am – 5:00 pm and Sunday noon – 5:00 pm. For more information, visit MichenerArtMuseum.org or call 215.340.9800.
