In celebration of the exhibition Unguarded, Untold, Iconic: Afghanistan through the Lens of Steve McCurry, we invite you to share your best street photography with the museum curators and McCurry studio on Instagram by using the hashtag #McCurryStreetChallenge. Our curators will choose their favorite images that tell us about street life – from downtown Doylestown to Center City Philadelphia and anywhere around the world you might be posting from! Submissions to the #McCurryStreetChallenge will appear the exhibition’s media room, so submit your best shots to have them exhibited digitally at the Michener.
Winners will be announced monthly, with three winners over the course of the exhibition (closing October 23). Those three photographers will receive:
- Museum passes
- A signed McCurry Phaidon book
- A post on our blog with a feature profile and other highlights from Instagram.
To share your photos of the Steve McCurry exhibition, search for content related to the Michener’s show, or interact with @MichenerArt, please use the hashtag #McCurryAfghanistan while posting your responses, favorites, and questions about the show!
