From Tuesday, April 19, through Sunday, April 24, the Michener Art Museum will be hosting a special College Week– all undergraduate and graduate students are invited to visit our galleries during that time free of charge! (Students must have valid IDs.) On Thursday, April 21, we will be offering extended hours; that evening, we’ll be featuring the award-winning film The September Issue, spotlighting Vogue‘s creative team as it prepares for its biggest-ever fashion issue.
We invite you that week to tour our galleries showcasing our Pennsylvania Impressionist collection as well as several special exhibitions, including our Philadelphia in Style fashion exhibition, which has been a major hit since its opening day! (Read Elizabeth Wellington’s review in the Philadelphia Inquirer.) You can also enjoy fine spring weather and outdoor art in our outdoor sculpture gardens!
Docent-led tours can be arranged and will also be free of charge for students. The Michener Art Museum is located only a block from Doylestown’s SEPTA train station, so walking from there is definitely an option– and if you decide to drive, we’ve got plenty of free parking! Hope to see you soon.
