Interested vendors now have until April 20th, 2018 to submit their applications for inclusion in the popular arts festival
DOYLESTOWN, PA – The exhibitor application deadline for inclusion in the wildly popular Doylestown Arts Festival has now been extended through April 20th. The two-day festival, which is expected to draw tens of thousands of people to Doylestown, will take place on Saturday, September 8 and Sunday, September 9, 2018. Interested artists, musicians, food vendors, and sponsors are invited to apply on DTownArtsFestival.com.
Founded in 1991, the Doylestown Arts Festival is now in its 27th year. Designed to illuminate the town’s ongoing commitment to arts, crafts, culture, and tourism, the 2018 festival will feature juried artists, live music on five stages, local food vendors, art-making, and interactive demonstrations. The celebration will take place in the historical downtown streets of Doylestown, a picturesque destination in Bucks County that is home to 8,000 residents, an array of galleries, restaurants, and locally owned shops and boutiques, and cultural destinations such as the James A. Michener Art Museum, the Mercer Museum, the County Theater, and more. For the second consecutive year, the Michener Art Museum is the official Cultural Partner of the Doylestown Arts Festival.
Paul Boger, director of the Doylestown Arts Festival, said the annual event amplifies the regional commitment to arts and culture, exposing local businesses and artisans to new audiences from Bucks County and beyond. And while the festival is expected to draw large crowds, he emphasizes that the organizers plan very carefully to ensure there is plenty of parking, access, space, and amenities so that attendees feel welcomed and comfortable. “Our mission is to communicate to festival visitors the ever-present hospitality and warmth of Doylestown, while at the same time celebrating the region’s artists and artistic heritage,” he said. “We encourage everyone from near and far who has any interest in the arts, music, community, or sightseeing to attend this remarkable festival, and to experience the energizing ambiance of Doylestown.”
The Doylestown Arts Festival is made possible by a small volunteer committee of Discover Doylestown. For more information about the Doylestown Arts Festival, visit DTownArtsFestival.com.
