Lorann Jacobs

A resident of Dallastown, Pennsylvania, Lorann Jacobs studied at the Maryland Institute of Art and Design in Baltimore and the York College of Pennsylvania. She has designed and produced more than 1,000 figurative sculptures in the last twenty years, often using animals and mythological figures as subjects. She is especially fascinated with fairy tales and children's stories, and often bases her work on these classic tales. Her work is in collections in over twenty states as well as in Japan, Ireland, Germany, and the Netherlands. She recently completed a major World War II memorial for the city of York, Pennsylvania.
